Who we are
After a decade working as a curator, art dealer, and non-profit director partnering with artists, collectors, and museums around the world, I started Ashlyn Burns Interiors with a simple conviction: the best homes are the ones that feel like someone actually lives in them.
With two little ones (Margot, 5, and Stella, 2) and a growing desire to create beauty in everyday spaces, I stepped away from the commercial gallery I co-founded in 2021, anticipating a slower pace focusing on my own family and community. Around the same time, I hosted a wine night at our house in Woodland Heights, and a friend’s curiosity turned into a project. That led to another. And before I knew it, Ashlyn Burns Interiors was born. It’s still small, still deeply personal, and still mostly with friends. But it feels like the right kind of work for this season: intentional, relational, grounded in the meaning of home.
I don’t believe in decorated rooms. I believe in rooms that accumulate—that carry the evidence of a life being lived, art being loved, children growing up, dinner parties running long. I bring my curatorial eye to every project: what belongs here, what earns its place, what creates meaning in conversation with everything around it. The homes I love most are the ones that feel like nobody could have made them except the people who live in them.
Founded in late 2024, the studio focuses on thoughtful, layered, livable interiors shaped by a deep background in art and curation.
